"Author" or "Ghost"?

Frankly, I do not see any contradiction here. On the contrary - both roles complement each other. As Author I am creating my world, my characters, plots, or, in non-fiction, my arguments, my "case". As Ghost I slip into someone else's head and bring my skill to convey what they want to tell others. Ghosting helps to keep the necessary humility towards writing and the creative process, because Ego has to step back. Ghosting also helps to remain flexible and open to new people and experiences. So, I see Author and Ghost as two sides of the writing coin.

Writing

I am the author of some dozen books and countless papers on a number of topics, well-read and interested in many more (see Topics, References). I worked as a writer, ghost, journalist and editor full-time and part-time since the early 70s. Recently I have also begun to write fiction.

In addition to writing in my own name, I am offering my services to write your book, papers, reports, articles etc. as your "ghost" or as your partner.

Specifically, I will write or edit

  • Business texts e.g. reports, portraits, product descriptions, company history etc.
  • Biographies, Memoirs
  • Conference papers, lectures, including presentations if requested
  • Project bids, reports, evaluation reports (based on my expeiences a project-manager)
  • Original texts on any of the subjects listed in Topics.

Editing

I edit your German or English text or document and put it into shape. My forte is developing well-structured text out of notes or various sources. I provide additional services, such as supplying relevant quotations or enrichment on the basis of further research if so requested.
